| What the f_ck is going on with the downloadingspeeds? |
Just joined and the first question popping up almost directly when trying to download is, what the f_ck is going on with the downloadingspeeds? Speeds around 25-50kB/s is not acceptable from a site like this. Is it always like this or have I just joined on a bad day? | Shassen, Feb 01, 2010 12:36 |

I already put here a special topic asking everybody with low downloading speeds to post their IP, traceroot (if possible), speed and country. There was only one serious post in return.
Again - if you have problems with download speed, post your info here = I need some statistics. Right now servers are working fine and there are no any speed limitations from our side. There IS a problem with capacity. I download clips at a rate of maybe 125-140KB maximum, often it drops to as low as 75KB. I'm in the UK and in every other way I have excellent connections and download speeds - but not on this site. I'm sure that's not coincidence.
Most people don't respond on this because they can't be bothered - or don't know how - to check what rate they're downloading at. Spend a bit of the site profits on upgrading the IT side of the site, because that IS clearly where the problem lies. | Simes, Feb 02, 2010 09:36 |

I just joined, and the dl speed is about 25-40 kb/s. This is way to slow. If this is everyday speed I wish I had not joined. |

We have powerful servers in USA. As I see most users with low download speeds are from EU. I've talked with Admin and he told me that maybe additional "mirror" server will be installed in Europe to resolve the problem. | Energo, Feb 06, 2010 03:58 |

I'm from Brazil and my network is very fast about 10MB.
While I was a subscriber only for 7 days the speed was great, after I passed the subscriber full speed was very bad!

This is without a doubt the WORST site I have ever joined. I have a very fast internet connection and a new super fast computer and this junk will not download beofre the cows come home. Save your money. |

Great download speed in Scandinavia now, early Sunday morning local time. Up to 700 kb/s!! Something has happened. |

Are you sure about 700kb?!!! If it's early Sunday morning and hardly anyone is online, I can well understand you getting a higher speed than normal, but 700kb just doesn't sound very likely.
Here in the UK, I am currently getting less than 20kb. Its early evening on a Sunday - but even so, this is the only site I use which has such a poor download rate. | Simes, Feb 07, 2010 11:59 |

Currently downloading a 14 minute clip at between 16kb and 21 kb - speed varying. Estimating that if that speed is maintained (or worsened), it will take the best part of an hour and a quarter.

Tuesday 19:00PM in Scandinavia now. I am downloading at 700-1000 KB/s. 550 MB in 20 minutes. No kidding! I am using a 17500/1750 DSL line. |

I would think most users don't get ANYWHERE near that speed.
